Bottom up business.
Trauma-informed, tender & nervous system centered support to transform your healing practice.
Business isn’t just for the bros and boss babes. It’s tender!
And you know that because you:
➝ See the old ways of pain point marketing and charm pricing aren’t ethical, but they did kinda work, and now without them you’re feeling lost.
➝ Are staying small in your business and experiencing uncomfy contractions and vulnerability hangovers after posting, or maybe in anticipation of that you haven’t even posted or made your presence (and gifts!) known.
➝ Have a slew of posts saved about trauma-informed care, but feel daunted about how to actually implement it, especially when all of your clients are so different! What will work across the board? Where is your compass?
➝ Can’t seem to shake a client interaction that feels unsettled in your nervous system, and you want to know the trauma-informed way to approach it, or if you need to refer out, and how to care for yourself in the meantime so you can keep showing up to your other clients.
➝ Care deeply about your work. Like, tears arise sometimes when you get to witness client growth and healing. Like, you put countless hours into your business hoping it’ll love you and your bank account back. Like, you know you are meant to do this, and yet imposter syndrome, self doubt and not-wanting-to-hurt-anyone-ever keep you feeling small and spinning out.
If you’ve been looking for trauma-informed business support, I’m here for it and I’m here for you.
What can we do together?
First things first, we can honor your struggles and your successes. We can zoom out and check in with your nervous system, your capacity, and your needs.
And from there, we can:
➝ Explore trauma-informed best practices, policies and language
➝ Brainstorm adaptations to make your practice more affirming, accessible and inclusive (without leaving YOU behind or burnt out)
➝ Experience self care and resourcing tools for you so you can show up more fully to your practice and care for yourself after sticky moments
➝ Learn and embody nervous system centered frameworks and trauma-informed client care approaches (these can support your nervous system care, too!)
➝ Revise practice materials, communication, systems, web & social media to align with your trauma-informed ethos
If you’re looking for trauma-informed spaceholding for your whole self and your business, I’d be honored to meet you in the messy middle.
We can do somatic practices. We can look at spreadsheets. We can brainstorm the places you feel stuck and let a little air and sunshine in.
If you’re in healing, you are probably doing a lot alone. I get it, truly. But maybe you don’t need to. Maybe I can help you see the gifts you already have, help you embody and act on what you already know, and help your nervous system receive the care it so often gives.
Through deep listening, affirmation, and gentle curiosity, we can find new skills and tools for you to use with clients and brainstorm creative solutions to the pieces of your work that feel impossible, heavy or tender.
We can also discover self-care strategies to support your resiliency in showing up fully, and explore trauma-informed frameworks so you feel prepared to best support yourself and your clients in the stickiest moments.
Hi, I’m Jess (she/they), LMT, SSP! I’m a bodyworker, somatic practitioner, Safe & Sound Protocol facilitator, and teacher. I adore holding space for students, clients and the stories their bodies and nervous systems are telling.
Most healing spaces aren’t trauma-informed, but I strongly believe they should be. My approach is trauma-informed, which is also anti-oppressive, somatic, nervous system centered and non-dogmatic. I strive to be a nourishing place for folks who haven’t felt at home in the healing world to land, heal and learn.
From my advanced trauma-informed, somatic trainings to my time on sofas and massage tables as a client with a lot of “stuff” and an out-of-this-world talent for dissociation, I’m here to support you with compassion, goofy humor and nervous system nerdiness & nourishment.
Yes, we can work on marketing! Yes, we can explore trauma-informed language! Yes, you can cry and I will be there for you. Business is tender, and in Spaceholder + Strategy sessions, you can be tender, too.
What To Expect
Support sessions are emergent and based entirely around your needs. My goal is for you to feel resourced and supported in offering a high level of compassionate care. You can show up as the whole human you are and I will strive to meet you just where you are while helping you grow in the ways you’re desiring.
After you fill out an intake form with as much or as little as you want to share, we can attend to your goals, intentions, and what feels present in your session.
I draw on lived experience, business and trauma-informed care trainings and experience, somatic experiencing, and what you bring to our session to support the work we do in each session. You can expect a balance of somatic explorations and spreadsheet/strategy nerdiness, depending on what you’re needing!
A Pace That Works For You
We can work together once, on an ongoing basis, or as-needed. There’s no pressure or long-term commitment. I will do my best to show up for you and your practice, nurturing your growth in trauma-informed care and self-tending.
Support sessions take place on Zoom. You can show up as you are, camera on or off.
Price
Consultations are $125 for an hour-long session. This includes a follow-up e-mail with notes and resources (folks who work with me know I loooove to offer this!), and a recording if you wanted our session recorded.
Limited sliding scale spots are available each quarter. I want this work to be accessible so that our practices are accessible, too. Please e-mail me to inquire.
Feeling the call to work together?
I’d love to meet you and support you!
