You adore your companion animals (and they adore you), but being a pet parent isn’t always easy. In this workshop, we offer compassionate support for you and your pets.
If your pet is
Afraid of people, other animals, the vet, noises, or their own shadow
Always wanting you by their side (hello separation anxiety)
On high alert most of the time or having frequent bork attacks
Chewing or scratching up the house (or themselves)
And you are
Doing your best to support them but feeling like it’s not enough
Stressing out every time you leave the house
Pulling your hair out trying to understand them
Scouring reddit and TikTok for advice, but not finding what you need
We invite you to join
In this live workshop, you’ll receive
A compassionate, trauma-informed approach and time for answers to your individual questions
A workbook and replay you can revisit when pet parenting feels too hard or you want to try a new technique
Practical tools you can use right away in your day-to-day life with your animal companions
During this 2.5-hour online workshop, Olivia and Jess will share trauma-informed, intuitive approaches for supporting your pets and yourselves.
What are the trauma-informed and intuitive approaches?
You will be invited to explore:
Individual and collective trauma, trauma responses, and how they can show up in your pets
Tools and techniques for caring for your pets through a trauma-informed lens (from honoring their boundaries to embracing progress that comes one small step at a time!)
An anchoring exercise to help you practice settling and soothing alongside your animal companion
Your individual questions — get feedback and insight during the Q&A portion of our workshop

Meet your Peaceful Pet Parenting guides
Hi, I’m Olivia (she/her/they/them)! I’m a professional animal communicator, Reiki master/teacher, certified Pet Loss Bereavement Specialist, writer, editor, and person to dogs Lucy and Milo. I believe our animal companions are so much more than pets—and that they can be some of our greatest teachers. My dogs are total opposites, but they each came to me with some special needs and challenging behaviors. They, along with the myriad of other rescue animals I’ve worked with in my business, have taught me so much about ways to support them that go beyond mainstream approaches. I’m honored to share what I’ve learned to help you find more ease and peace in your relationships with your pets.
Hi, I’m Jess (she/her)! I’m a trauma-informed bodyworker, writer, educator and pet parent. I have two animal pals (Bub the pup and Silvie the cat) and they teach me so much about co-regulation, soothing skills and the needs of the nervous system. I’m excited to share what I’ve gathered from my trauma-informed work and care with beings of all ages, and my experiences as a millennial pet parent with two adopted animal companions with their share of quirks.
“What Olivia does is really open up a whole new dimension to relationships with animals...I feel closer to my dog...I recommend her to everyone with a pet they love.”

FAQS
WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE IT LIVE? That’s okay! This online workshop will be recorded and the replay will be shared with everyone who signs up, so you’ll have access. Olivia and Jess will be the only folks recorded, so you can come as you are and choose whether to have your camera on or off (rest assured, you will not be recorded).
WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN ONE PET? The more the merrier! You can explore tools to support your relationships with each of your animals.
WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW MY PET’S TRAUMA HISTORY? You don’t need to know your pet’s trauma history to offer trauma-informed care. We’ll talk more about this in the workshop! This gathering is for any pet parent who wants to embrace a trauma-informed approach no matter their history.
IS THIS FOR ME? This workshop is for anyone with a pet they love (they don’t have to have a known history of trauma), for people with anxious pets, for folks working with trainers who are still looking for more support and for people that have pets and are interested in trauma-informed care.
WILL THIS SOLVE ALL OF MY PROBLEMS WITH MY ANIMAL COMPANION? We can’t promise you that, but we can give you tools that we know have helped many people and their animal companions move toward a more peaceful path together.
IS THIS WORKSHOP THE SAME AS TRAINING? No, it is not meant to take the place of behavioral training but is meant to support such training—especially positive reinforcement approaches. This training also doesn’t replace veterinary care.

WILL YOU OFFER THIS WORKSHOP AGAIN? We would like to offer this again if it feels supportive to folks, and in the meantime, we will sell the replay the week following the workshop for those who missed it.
