What folks are saying about working with Jess:
“Jess clearly possesses a nuanced understanding of how the subtle/energetic and physical body holds and expresses trauma wounds. She is a gifted facilitator who demonstrates compassionate awareness and skillfully creates a safe container from which emotional vulnerability and connection flow organically. Jess beautifully married her in-depth knowledge of the online platform with the aforementioned skills to evoke meaningful group engagement that I have yet to experience in any other virtual forum for this kind of healing work.”
❍ Meg, Held workshop participant
"My session with Jess was such a beautiful catalyst to further healing within myself: she gently supported me in realizing that part of being a trauma-informed massage therapist is creating the conditions where I, too, can feel safer and more present. This was just one of several lightbulb moments in our consultation, which really helped me get clarity on how I want to grow in my trauma-informed practices. I appreciated her deep listening in the moment as well as very thoughtful follow-up that helped me further reflect on our conversation. As a relatively new bodyworker, I really recommend working with Jess to help find your bearings in this field!"
❍ Mel M, massage therapist & trauma informed consultation client
“It has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of spiritual bypassing and how to hold a safer container of space for others in my work.”
❍ Samantha G, It’s Not All Good reader

I’m a trauma informed bodyworker, writer and mentor. Supporting healing practitioners in strengthening their trauma sensitive practices is one of my greatest joys. I draw from extensive training in healing arts, trauma informed care & youth and family services as well as my lived experience as a survivor.
Is this for me?
❍ If you work with humans and bodies in the healing arts (hi yoga teachers, bodyworkers, reiki practitioners, acupuncturists, coaches, meditation guides, et al!) and would like your language to be more trauma sensitive, SHIFT might be for you!
❍ If learning from a blend of independent study (reading the weekly material), experiential practice (taking concepts back to your client work) and virtual community support (connecting with your peers and myself in our facebook group) sounds like a good fit for your life and learning style, SHIFT might be for you!
❍ If transforming your healing practice into a trauma informed container feels overwhelming, but learning the tenants of trauma informed language feels more doable, SHIFT might be for you! And hint: the tenants of trauma informed language apply to so many other facets in your healing practice.
☽ If you feel proficient and confident using trauma informed language in your practice, and don’t feel the need to practice trauma informed language or learn new phrasing alternatives, SHIFT might be too basic for you.
☽ If you know that you need extensive 1-1 support inside of this experience, or if the topics in this course might be triggering and you don’t have access to outside support, SHIFT might not be supportive enough for you.
☽ If you don’t want to go through an experiential process to find the language that feels right to you and your clients, this program might not feel worth it to you. While SHIFT will definitely provide you with alternative phrases you can use right off the bat, part of the magic is in the process itself.
If you’re still not sure if this is for you, feel free to e-mail me and I can answer any questions in a no-pressure way.
+ Who is this for?
SHIFT is for bodybased healing practitioners. If you work with humans, you work with trauma. And if you work with humans, you work with bodies. Anyone in the healing arts field (bodyworkers, reiki practitioners, yoga and meditation teachers, acupuncturists, facialists, coaches) is welcome!
+ What is the format of this course?
This course is delivered through: weekly e-mails and attached PDFs with the week’s lessons and materials. You may also connect with our group in the virtual facebook group. This is totally optional, and will be a space to connect with one another, ask questions, and share how the lessons and teachings are unfolding for you and in your practice.
+ Will I receive 1-1 support from Jess?
There is not an individualized 1-1 component in this experience. I will be present via our weekly e-mails and in our virtual community, where you can share your process with the week's materials and ask questions.
+ What is the scholarship rate process?
If you identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color) and need a reduced rate, just follow the button above to claim your spot. You won't be asked to submit anything extra. Spots will be open until they are filled, at which point they will be sold out.
+ Do you offer refunds?
Due to the digital nature of this offering, I do not offer refunds.
+ I have another question!
I'd be glad to chat with you! Feel free to reach out via e-mail; hello at softpathhealing dot com and we can connect.
